Gryphon hunter

Gryphon commision.
It was so much fun to draw the 'little' guy.
At first I should draw a dragon, but I can't dragons for my live. I always love these evil looking dragons with their stricking heads, theeth and scales but mine look always, cute...just cute...it's depressing.
That's why we decited to draw an other mythical animal and it becomes a Gryphon.
My first gryphon and it was really fun, I decide to give him a part of an owl, the head, because I love owls especially the great owls, that's why it has the little feather ears. And my favorite bird is the BlueJay, now you know why he has markings like one. I had really much space to choose the design by myself and I'm thankful for this.

The rest was really random, I decide to draw a cold landscape, with a clear sky and mountains.
Holy cow, you know that there is really no good realism mountain tutorials on DA? I was so down. I try to make the best of it and just do 'something' what looks 'good' at the end.
